How does lifestyle affect your health?

Dr. Golubik said that the main causes of death worldwide are chronic diseases, the most important of which are:

Cancer.
Cardiovascular diseases.
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease .

Diabetes.

Stroke.
But you can prevent many of these chronic conditions by addressing their root causes and changing daily habits. He added that about 80% of chronic diseases are driven by lifestyle factors such as diet and exercise.

How to prevent lifestyle diseases

To prevent chronic diseases, Dr. Golubik recommended adjusting your habits in these five areas:

Diet
Eating whole plants helps reduce the risk of diabetes, heart disease and cancer.

There is evidence that a Mediterranean diet can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and other chronic diseases. This diet is rich in vegetables, fruits, legumes, fish, whole grains, olive oil and nuts.

Other evidence suggests that a full vegetarian diet can reflect chronic conditions associated with diet, including advanced heart disease.

This diet eliminates meat, dairy and eggs and includes whole foods such as vegetables, whole grains, legumes and fruits.

Physical activity
The movement helps all the body’s organs and experts recommend moderate intensity activity for 150 minutes each week.

Start walking for 10 minutes repeat this two or three times a day and then try to walk faster, get a minute of intense walking or climbing stairs.

Sleep
Sleeping for seven to nine hours each night get a steady time to sleep and wake up, even on weekends and be physically active daily, reduce caffeine intake, put digital devices away 90 minutes before bedtime and keep your sleeping area cool, dark and comfortable.

Relieve stress
Chronic stress is not a friend of your immune system try meditation and gratitude to relieve stress and improve your physical and mental health.

Social cohesion

Social bonding, or loving people, maintains your health emotionally and physically even when physical spacing is the norm, communication can be overthe Internet.
